Common Name: Zena Coastal Rosemary
Description:
Westringia fruticosa 'Zena' is a compact, evergreen Australian native shrub known for its fine, grey-green foliage and soft, pale mauve to white flowers that bloom throughout the year, with peak flowering in spring and summer. This hardy, drought- and salt-tolerant plant thrives in Melbourne’s climate, preferring well-drained soil and full sun but also tolerating part shade. Its naturally dense and rounded growth habit makes it an excellent choice for low hedging, borders, topiary, or ground cover in coastal and low-maintenance gardens. 'Zena' responds well to pruning, allowing it to be shaped to fit formal or informal landscapes, and its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and butterflies.
