Common Name:
Foxxy Baby Princess Flower

Description:
Tibouchina ‘Foxxy Baby’ is a compact, eye-catching shrub known for its vivid purple blooms and lush green foliage with a soft, velvety texture. A dwarf cultivar of the popular Tibouchina urvilleana, ‘Foxxy Baby’ brings the tropical beauty of larger varieties into smaller spaces, making it perfect for urban gardens, pots, and mixed borders. From late spring through to autumn, it produces a profusion of large, vibrant purple flowers that contrast beautifully against the dark green leaves, offering months of colour and attracting bees and butterflies. In Melbourne’s climate, it performs best in a sunny to partly shaded position with protection from heavy frost. Well-drained soil and regular watering during dry periods will keep it thriving, though it is relatively low maintenance once established. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage a dense, rounded shape and repeat blooming.
