Common Name:
Neon Arrowhead Plant
Description:
Syngonium podophyllum 'Neon', commonly known as the Neon Arrowhead Plant, is a vibrant and compact indoor foliage plant celebrated for its bold, pink-toned leaves and easy-care nature. A cultivar of the popular arrowhead vine, this variety features soft, heart-shaped to arrowhead-shaped leaves in shades of blush pink to rose, often with subtle green undertones. Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, 'Neon' thrives in warm, humid conditions and is particularly well suited to indoor environments in Melbourne. It prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid colouring, though it can adapt to part shade. Grown in a pot, it forms a neat clump, but as it matures, it may develop a trailing or climbing habit, which can be supported with a totem or allowed to cascade. It enjoys moist, well-draining soil and benefits from regular watering, though it tolerates occasional dryness. Growth is most vigorous during spring and summer, with minimal growth in winter.
