Description:
The Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is a hardy, fast-growing indoor and outdoor plant known for its long, arching green leaves with white stripes and its ability to produce cascading offshoots, or “spiderettes.” This low-maintenance plant thrives in Melbourne’s climate when grown indoors or in sheltered outdoor areas with indirect sunlight. It prefers well-drained soil and regular watering but is highly drought-tolerant once established. Spider Plants are excellent for hanging baskets, tabletops, and ground cover in shaded garden beds.
