Scaevola humilis 'Purple Fusion™' is a prostrate, evergreen groundcover renowned for its dense mat of lush green foliage and profusion of purple to lilac fan-shaped flowers. Unlike other Scaevola varieties, 'Purple Fusion™' exhibits a notably flat growth habit, reaching approximately 20 cm in height and spreading up to 1.5 meters in width. This low-maintenance plant thrives in full sun to light shade and is adaptable to a variety of soil types, provided they are well-drained. It is particularly valued for its drought tolerance and ability to withstand hot, dry conditions, making it an excellent choice for Australian landscapes, including those in Melbourne. Flowering occurs throughout the year, with a peak display from September to December. Due to its non-mounding habit, 'Purple Fusion™' requires minimal pruning, typically only to trim edges as needed.
