Salvia - Fisher Signature Salvias 'Ostentatious'

Common Name:

Salvia 'Ostentatious' – Fisher's Signature Salvias

Description:

Salvia 'Ostentatious' is a striking, long-flowering perennial shrub renowned for its vibrant magenta-pink tubular flowers and contrasting dark purple stems and calyces. Part of the Fisher's Signature Salvias collection, this ornamental variety produces an abundance of colourful blooms that attract bees, butterflies and nectar-feeding birds. Its lush green foliage and naturally bushy, spreading habit make it an excellent choice for garden beds, mixed borders, cottage gardens and decorative pots. Flowering over an extended period from spring through autumn, 'Ostentatious' provides reliable colour throughout the warmer months. Well suited to Melbourne's climate, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating periods of dryness once established. Light pruning and occasional feeding encourage compact growth and continued flowering. Growing approximately 50 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this hardy, low-maintenance Salvia is ideal for adding vibrant colour and attracting wildlife to Australian gardens.
