The No Surrender Rose is a robust floribunda variety bred by Kordes, introduced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Siege of Tobruk. This rose features clusters of nostalgic, English-style blooms in a rich purple-red hue with a distinctive golden reverse on the petals. The flowers are medium-sized, approximately 7 cm in diameter, and emit a light fragrance. The plant exhibits an upright, bushy growth habit with dark green, glossy foliage that remains nearly evergreen in Melbourne's climate. Highly disease-resistant and hardy, it thrives in full sun and is well-suited for mass plantings, borders, or as a striking feature in gardens and containers. The No Surrender Rose blooms prolifically from late spring through autumn, with the potential for sporadic flowering into winter.
