Rose 'Mariangela' is an exquisite hybrid tea rose named in honour of Italian actress Mariangela Melato. This refined variety is known for its large, classically shaped blooms in pure white, sometimes blushed with a soft hint of pink or pale green when in bud. The flowers are highly fragrant and borne on long, sturdy stems, making them ideal for cutting and floral arrangements. It blooms repeatedly from late spring through to autumn, maintaining a consistently elegant display throughout the growing season. The plant forms a medium-sized, upright, bushy shrub with glossy, bright green foliage that is notably resistant to disease. Awarded a Silver Medal in Australian rose trials, 'Mariangela' is well suited to Melbourne’s climate and is perfect for both formal gardens and romantic cottage-style plantings.
