Description: Rose 'Burgundy Iceberg' is a striking floribunda rose and a colour sport of the ever-popular 'Iceberg' rose. Discovered in Tasmania and released in 2004, it features velvety blooms in a rich burgundy to deep purple-red hue with a subtle creamy or silvery reverse on the petals. The intensity of its colour varies slightly with seasonal temperature and light, adding to its visual interest. Blooming continuously from late spring through to autumn, it produces clusters of semi-double flowers with a light honey-apple fragrance. The plant is compact and bushy with glossy green foliage and very few thorns, making it a low-maintenance yet high-impact addition to garden beds, borders, and pots. Like its parent, it shows excellent disease resistance and strong flowering performance, thriving particularly well in Melbourne’s conditions.
