Common Name:
Bella Pink Self-Heal

Description:
Prunella ‘Bella Pink’ is a compact, ground-hugging perennial that delivers soft charm and dependable performance in a wide range of garden settings. Bred from the hardy species Prunella grandiflora, this cultivar is valued for its profusion of soft pink, hooded flowers that appear in tight, upright spikes above dense mats of deep green foliage. Blooming from late spring through summer, ‘Bella Pink’ attracts bees and butterflies while creating a neat, floral carpet ideal for edging, pathways, or as an underplanting. In Melbourne gardens, it thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil. It’s tolerant of light frost and adapts well to variable conditions, including light foot traffic, making it an excellent choice for informal lawn alternatives and cottage-style gardens. Trim lightly after flowering to keep it looking fresh and encourage a second flush of blooms.
