Mandevilla Tourmaline Rose

Common Name:

Mandevilla 'Tourmaline Rose'

Description:

Mandevilla 'Tourmaline Rose' is a stunning, compact, evergreen tropical plant prized for its vibrant rose-pink, trumpet-shaped flowers with cheerful golden-yellow centres. This beautiful variety produces an abundance of large, showy blooms against lush, glossy green foliage, creating a spectacular display of colour throughout the warmer months. With its naturally bushy, well-branched growth habit, 'Tourmaline Rose' is particularly well suited to decorative pots, hanging baskets, balconies, patios and sunny garden beds. Reaching approximately 50 cm tall and spreading up to 1 m wide, it provides a colourful tropical display without requiring extensive space. Flowering from late spring through summer and into autumn, this long-flowering variety thrives in full sun to part shade, preferring fertile, well-drained soil and regular watering during the growing season. It appreciates warm, sheltered positions and benefits from occasional feeding with a balanced flowering fertiliser to encourage continuous blooms. In Melbourne's cooler climate, protection from frost and cold winter winds is essential, particularly during winter. Its vibrant flowers, compact growth and extended flowering season make Mandevilla 'Tourmaline Rose' an outstanding choice for adding a splash of tropical elegance to courtyards, outdoor entertaining areas and container gardens.
