Common Name:
Lomandra 'Seascape'
Description:
Lomandra 'Seascape' is a striking, fine-leaved ornamental grass-like plant known for its flowing, weeping blue-grey foliage. A cultivar of the hardy Australian native Lomandra longifolia, 'Seascape' brings a soft, sculptural quality to gardens, whether used in mass plantings, borders, or pots. Its drought and frost tolerance make it ideal for Melbourne’s climate, and it thrives in a variety of soil types, including sandy or clay-based soils. This evergreen variety is extremely low-maintenance and well-suited to modern, coastal, or native garden designs. Though it may occasionally produce small, cream-yellow flower spikes, its primary visual appeal is its foliage texture and form. It performs best in full sun but will also tolerate part shade and requires minimal water once established.
