Common Name:
Muscari Mauve Lily Turf

Description:
Liriope ‘Muscari Mauve’ is a hardy, clumping evergreen perennial valued for its strappy foliage and soft mauve flower spikes that bring seasonal colour and texture to the garden. Forming neat, grass-like mounds of deep green leaves, this versatile plant produces upright spikes of lilac-mauve flowers in late summer to autumn, followed by small dark berries. Its tidy, compact habit makes it ideal for edging pathways, mass planting under trees, or softening borders in both formal and informal landscapes. Well suited to Melbourne’s climate, it thrives in full sun through to full shade and tolerates a wide range of soil types, provided they are reasonably well-drained. Once established, it is drought tolerant and low maintenance, requiring only occasional trimming of older foliage in late winter to refresh its appearance. Reliable and adaptable, ‘Muscari Mauve’ is an excellent choice for adding structure and long-lasting interest to garden beds and containers.
