Common Name:
Lewisia ‘SAFIRA Coral’
Description:
Lewisia ‘SAFIRA® Coral’ is a compact, eye-catching perennial prized for its vibrant floral display and attractive, fleshy rosettes of evergreen foliage. Part of the SAFIRA® breeding line, this variety features large, coral-pink flowers with soft apricot undertones, blooming in generous clusters on short stems above tidy, succulent-like leaves. Its striking colour and compact form make it ideal for rockeries, borders, and decorative pots, especially where drainage is excellent. In Melbourne gardens, Lewisia prefers a position with morning sun or bright dappled light and protection from harsh afternoon exposure. It is well suited to cool, dry conditions and benefits from well-drained soil, particularly in winter to avoid root rot. Flowering occurs mainly from spring to early summer, with sporadic blooms in autumn in ideal conditions.
