Common Name:
Raspberry Ice Plant
Description:
Lampranthus EXPLOSION® ‘Raspberry’ is a colourful, low-growing succulent prized for its brilliant raspberry-pink, daisy-like flowers and dense carpet of fleshy green foliage. During its main flowering display, the plant becomes smothered in vivid blooms, creating an eye-catching splash of colour across garden beds, borders, rockeries and containers. Well suited to Melbourne gardens, it performs best in full sun and free-draining soil, tolerating heat, coastal conditions and periods of dryness once established. Avoid poorly drained or persistently wet soils, particularly during Melbourne's cooler months. Flowering is concentrated through spring, with blooms opening most strongly in bright sunshine. Its compact, spreading habit makes it particularly useful for edging, mass planting, spilling over retaining walls and adding colour to water-wise landscapes.
