Common Name:
Giant White-Flowered Hosta
Description:
Hosta grandiflora is a rare and highly ornamental perennial, prized for its large, lush green foliage and spectacular white, trumpet-shaped flowers. Unlike many other hostas, this variety is particularly noted for its oversized blooms, which appear in mid to late summer on tall, elegant stems. The broad, deeply veined leaves provide excellent ground cover and add a tropical feel to shaded garden beds. This clump-forming perennial thrives in part shade to full shade, preferring moist, well-drained soil. It is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, borders, and container planting. Resistant to frost and relatively low-maintenance, Hosta grandiflora is perfect for adding elegance and structure to shaded areas.
