Common Name:
Plum Cascade Foamy Bells
Description:
Heucherella ‘Plum Cascade’ is a striking trailing perennial prized for its rich plum-purple foliage and graceful weeping form. A hybrid between Heuchera and Tiarella, this cultivar features deeply lobed, semi-glossy leaves with silver veining that intensifies the bold colour, creating a shimmering effect in shaded garden spaces. Flowering in late spring through summer, it produces airy stems topped with small, light pink flowers that delicately hover above the foliage. Unlike upright heucherellas, ‘Plum Cascade’ is uniquely suited to hanging baskets, containers, and elevated garden edges, where its foliage can spill and cascade to full effect. In Melbourne’s climate, it performs best in part to full shade with well-drained, humus-rich soil. ‘Plum Cascade’ offers year-round foliage interest and is especially valued for bringing colour to darker corners of the garden without sacrificing elegance or structure.
