Common Name:
Pink Angel Sunrose
Description:
Helianthemum ‘Pink Angel Sunrose’ is a compact, low-growing evergreen shrub admired for its delicate, soft pink blooms and fine grey-green foliage. Flowering profusely during late spring and into early summer, this sun-loving plant creates a carpet of colour that’s ideal for Melbourne gardens, especially in rockeries, dry borders, and slopes. Each papery flower lasts just a day, but the plant produces so many that it appears to bloom continuously throughout the season. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, particularly those that are sandy or gravelly, and is highly tolerant of dry conditions once established. ‘Pink Angel’ maintains a neat, spreading form and responds well to a light trim after flowering to encourage bushiness. Its silver-toned foliage provides year-round interest and contrasts beautifully with darker greens or bold-coloured flowers in mixed plantings.
