Description:
Helianthemum 'Beech Park Red' is a compact, spreading evergreen to semi-evergreen perennial prized for its vibrant red, saucer-shaped flowers and low-growing habit. The blooms are produced generously above a dense mat of small grey-green foliage, creating a brilliant display through spring and summer. Individual flowers may be relatively short-lived, but they are produced successively over an extended flowering period. Well suited to Melbourne's climate, 'Beech Park Red' thrives in full sun and prefers sharply drained, moderately fertile to lean soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant and performs particularly well in rockeries, gravel gardens, along retaining walls, at the front of sunny borders and in containers.
