Common Name:
Grevillea 'Seaspray'
Description:
Grevillea 'Sea Spray' is a hardy, fast-growing ground cover native to Australia, celebrated for its fine, grey-green foliage and soft, spider-like red flowers that bloom throughout much of the year. This low, spreading cultivar is ideal for erosion control on embankments, ground coverage in native gardens, or trailing beautifully over retaining walls. ‘Sea Spray’ thrives in Melbourne’s climate, tolerating coastal winds, drought, and light frosts once established. It prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in well-drained soil and benefits from occasional pruning to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. The vibrant flowers are highly attractive to birds and pollinators, making it a valuable addition to wildlife gardens. Grevillea 'Sea Spray' is low-maintenance, tough, and an excellent native alternative to exotic ground covers.
