Common Name: Woolly Grevillea – Fine Leaf Dwarf Form (Grevillea lanigera Fine Leaf Form)
Description: The fine leaf dwarf form of Woolly Grevillea is a compact, low-growing Australian native shrub loved for its soft foliage and delicate flowering display. Its narrow grey-green leaves have a velvety, woolly texture that gives the plant a soft and tidy appearance. From late winter into spring—and often extending into autumn—this form produces masses of small, spider-like flowers in shades of pale pink, cream, and red, which are highly attractive to birds and pollinators. It thrives in Melbourne’s conditions, performing best in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Drought and frost tolerant once established, this grevillea is ideal for rockeries, borders, native gardens, containers, and erosion control plantings. Minimal maintenance is required, with occasional tip pruning to maintain shape and low-phosphorus fertiliser in spring.
