Common Name:
Avens JAZZY™ ‘Orange Pumpkin’
Description:
Geum JAZZY™ ‘Orange Pumpkin’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial prized for its vibrant orange flowers held above fresh green, textured foliage. The bright, warm-toned blooms are carried on slender branching stems, creating a light and lively display that works beautifully towards the front of garden beds, along pathways, in cottage-style borders and in decorative pots. Flowering predominantly from spring into summer, established plants can produce an extended or repeat display when spent flowers are regularly removed. ‘Orange Pumpkin’ performs well in Melbourne’s temperate climate, preferring full sun to part shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Regular moisture encourages the best flowering and foliage quality, particularly during warmer weather, but waterlogged conditions should be avoided. The foliage forms a neat basal mound while the flowers rise above it, providing both colour and movement without overwhelming neighbouring plants. Its compact habit, vivid colouring and reliable perennial growth make it an excellent choice for mixed plantings and smaller gardens.
