Common Name:
Happy Bells Playful Fuchsia
Description:
Fuchsia ‘HAPPY BELLS™ Playful’ is a compact, free-flowering perennial shrub celebrated for its playful and vibrant two-toned blooms. Part of the HAPPY BELLS™ series, this cultivar produces masses of dainty, bell-shaped flowers in rich purple with contrasting magenta-pink tones that cascade gracefully over the plant from late spring through to autumn. The lush green foliage forms a tidy, mounded shrub that brings colour and structure to shady areas of the garden. Ideal for Melbourne's temperate climate, ‘Playful’ thrives in part shade to full shade, preferring moist, well-drained soils and shelter from strong sun and wind. It is perfect for hanging baskets, patio pots, or shaded borders where it will attract bees, butterflies, and small nectar-feeding birds. Regular deadheading and occasional light trimming help maintain its dense habit and encourage continuous blooming throughout the season.
