Common Name:
Dwarf Pink Escallonia

Description:
Escallonia ‘Dwarf Pink HEDGE WITH AN EDGE®’ is a compact, evergreen shrub specially bred for low hedging, borders, and pot-friendly applications. This tidy cultivar features glossy, dark green foliage and an abundance of small, soft pink tubular flowers that appear from late spring through to autumn. Its dense growth habit and natural dome shape make it ideal for clipping into a formal low hedge or allowing to grow freely for a softer look. In Melbourne gardens, it thrives in full sun to part shade and tolerates a range of soils as long as they are well-drained. It is salt, wind, and drought tolerant once established, making it a reliable performer in coastal settings and dry garden designs. ‘Dwarf Pink’ adds a burst of colour through the warmer months and also attracts bees and butterflies. It responds well to pruning and is low maintenance, making it a versatile choice for formal, modern, or wildlife-friendly landscapes.
