Common Name:
Escallonia ‘Appleblossom’ (HEDGE WITH AN EDGE® series)
Description:
Escallonia ‘Appleblossom’ from the HEDGE WITH AN EDGE® series is a tidy, evergreen shrub with glossy green foliage and abundant clusters of small, soft pink, trumpet‑shaped flowers. The blooms appear through summer, often extending into late summer, creating a mass of floral colour against the dark leaves. Its naturally dense growth habit and manageable size make it ideal for neat hedging, formal edges or as a feature specimen. It is quite adaptable, tolerating coastal conditions, frost once established, and a range of soils provided drainage is good. With light pruning after flowering, it retains a crisp shape and encourages a fuller canopy.
