Common Name:
Echinacea SUNSEEKERS 'Pomegranate'
Description:
Echinacea SUNSEEKERS 'Pomegranate' is a bold and vibrant coneflower variety, known for its large, double blooms in rich, saturated shades of pomegranate red. Part of the SUNSEEKERS® series, this cultivar brings a modern twist to classic Echinacea with its compact, upright growth and abundant flowering. Each bloom features a central dome of densely packed, pompom-like petals surrounded by slightly reflexed outer petals, creating a full and striking appearance. In Melbourne, this perennial thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and moderate watering, making it ideal for low-maintenance garden borders, cottage plantings, and feature pots. Flowering begins in mid to late spring and continues right through summer, especially when spent blooms are removed regularly. Echinacea 'Pomegranate' also attracts bees and butterflies, adds a splash of long-lasting colour, and performs beautifully as a cut flower.
