Common Name:
Smoke Bush 'Grace'
Description:
Cotinus x 'Grace' is a stunning deciduous shrub or small tree known for its dramatic foliage and spectacular seasonal colour changes. Emerging in spring as rich wine-red to bronze, the large, rounded leaves deepen to purplish-green in summer before transforming into fiery shades of orange, red, and purple in autumn. In early summer, 'Grace' produces billowy, pinkish-purple flower plumes that create a smoky haze effect, giving the plant its common name, Smoke Bush. This hardy and drought-tolerant variety thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and is perfect for feature planting, mixed borders, and informal screening. Regular pruning can enhance its shape and foliage colour.
