Common Name:
Grace Smoke Bush
Description:
Cotinus coggygria 'Grace' is a stunning deciduous shrub known for its vibrant foliage and dramatic smoky plumes. In spring and summer, its large, rounded leaves emerge in a rich wine-red colour, deepening to burgundy before transforming into brilliant orange, red, and purple hues in autumn. During summer, it produces feathery, pinkish-purple flower plumes that give the plant its characteristic "smoky" appearance. This hardy and adaptable shrub thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny position to bring out its best foliage colour. It is drought-tolerant once established and makes a fantastic feature plant, hedge, or background shrub in mixed garden beds.
