Common Name:
Tahitian Lime – Courtyard Selection
Description:
Citrus latifolia 'Courtyard Lime' is a compact, seedless form of Tahitian lime, specially selected for its suitability to smaller spaces, pots, and courtyard gardens. It produces glossy, deep green foliage and fragrant white blossoms followed by smooth, thin-skinned green limes that mature to pale yellow if left on the tree. The fruit is juicy, seedless, and mildly acidic — perfect for cooking, cocktails, and refreshing drinks. This variety is a prolific fruiter in Melbourne’s climate when grown in full sun and sheltered from heavy frost. 'Courtyard Lime' flowers in flushes from spring through to early autumn, with fruit ripening through the warmer months. It’s ideal for pots, espaliers, or small garden beds and benefits from regular feeding and good drainage. Highly ornamental as well as productive, it brings colour, fragrance, and year-round appeal to edible landscapes.
