Description:
Callistemon viminalis 'Dawson River Weeper' is an evergreen Australian native known for its graceful weeping habit and vibrant red, bottlebrush-like flowers. This plant can be cultivated as a large shrub or trained into a small tree, making it versatile for various garden settings. Flowering profusely in spring, with a potential follow-up in autumn, it attracts nectar-feeding birds, enhancing garden biodiversity. Adaptable to a range of soil types, including sandy, clay, loamy, sandy loam, and clay loam, it thrives in full sun to part shade. Once established, it exhibits moderate frost and drought tolerance.
