Common Name: Bougainvillea ‘Magnifica Traillii’

Description:
Bougainvillea glabra ‘Magnifica Traillii’ is a vigorous, evergreen climber renowned for its dense display of rich magenta-purple bracts that smother the foliage during the warmer months. Its thorny woody stems climb vigorously on walls, pergolas, trellises, or fences—and if left untrained, will gracefully sprawl as a groundcover. Widely regarded as one of the most cold-tolerant bougainvilleas, it flourishes in full sun to semi-shade in well-drained soil. While light frost may cause semi-deciduous behaviour in cooler seasons, in Melbourne’s moderate climate it typically remains evergreen and blooms broadly from spring through to autumn. Regular light pruning helps maintain shape and fosters prolific flowering.
