Common Name:
Blue bacopa

Description:
Bacopa spp. ‘Blue’ is a soft, trailing flowering plant prized for its masses of small blue blooms and delicate, cascading growth habit. It is widely used as a seasonal colour plant in hanging baskets, window boxes, pots, and as a flowering ground cover where it can spill beautifully over edges and soften planting schemes. Flowering generously from spring through summer and often into autumn in Melbourne conditions, it performs best in a bright position with protection from harsh afternoon heat and consistently moist, well-drained soil. Its compact yet spreading habit makes it ideal for mixed container arrangements or low border planting, and regular trimming will help maintain a fresh, tidy appearance and encourage repeat flowering.
