Common Name:
Azalea ‘Kosmos’
Description:
Azalea ‘Kosmos’ is a striking evergreen azalea admired for its large, richly ruffled blooms in vibrant rose-pink to deep coral-pink tones. Flowering prolifically from late winter through to spring, the lush double flowers create a bold and luxurious display against the dense, glossy dark green foliage. The heavily layered petals provide excellent texture and visual impact, while the vivid colouring brings brightness and energy to garden beds and containers. Compact and neatly rounded in habit, ‘Kosmos’ is ideal for decorative pots, borders, low hedging, and woodland-style gardens where strong seasonal colour is desired. Well-suited to Melbourne’s temperate climate, it thrives in part shade but can also tolerate more sun in cooler conditions with adequate moisture. It performs best in moist, well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. This variety is highly valued for its profuse flowering, evergreen structure, and reliable flowering performance during the cooler months.
