Common Name:
White Easter Daisy
Description:
Aster viminalis ‘Alba’, commonly known as White Easter Daisy, is a charming herbaceous perennial admired for its masses of small white daisy-like flowers with soft yellow centres. Flowering prolifically from late spring through summer and into autumn, it creates a bright and airy display that brings movement and softness to garden beds, borders, cottage gardens and mixed perennial plantings. Its fine green foliage forms a neat, bushy mound that contrasts beautifully with the abundance of blooms. Thriving in Melbourne’s climate, this hardy and low-maintenance variety performs best in a sunny to partly shaded position with well-drained soil. Once established, it is relatively drought tolerant and highly attractive to bees and beneficial pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens and seasonal floral colour.
