Armeria DREAMERIA® ‘Hypnotic Dreams’

Common Name:

Thrift 'Hypnotic Dreams' / Sea Thrift / Sea Pinks

Description:

Armeria DREAMERIA® ‘Hypnotic Dreams’ is a spectacular evergreen perennial celebrated for its vibrant, deep magenta-pink, globe-shaped flowers that create an eye-catching display above compact mounds of lush, grass-like green foliage. Part of the Australian-bred DREAMERIA® collection, this exceptional variety has been developed for its prolific flowering, extended blooming season and outstanding garden performance. Producing masses of striking, pom-pom-like blooms on strong, upright stems, 'Hypnotic Dreams' brings a brilliant splash of colour to garden beds, borders, rockeries and decorative pots. Unlike traditional Armeria varieties, the DREAMERIA® series is renowned for its ability to flower over an extended period, with the heaviest displays occurring from spring through summer and repeat flushes possible during autumn and mild winter conditions. Its naturally neat, mounding growth habit makes it particularly suitable for pathway edging, mass plantings, coastal gardens and contemporary landscapes. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators, adding ecological value to the garden. Well suited to Melbourne's variable climate, 'Hypnotic Dreams' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating coastal exposure, moderate frost and short periods of dryness once established. Avoid waterlogged conditions, particularly during winter, and remove spent flower stems regularly to encourage continuous blooming. With its vivid floral colour, evergreen foliage and compact, low-maintenance habit, Armeria 'Hypnotic Dreams' is a beautiful choice for adding long-lasting colour and texture to outdoor spaces.
