Armeria DREAMERIA® ‘Dream Clouds’

Common Name:

Thrift 'Dream Clouds' / Sea Thrift / Sea Pinks

Description:

Armeria pseudarmeria DREAMERIA® ‘Dream Clouds’ is a stunning, compact evergreen perennial renowned for its masses of pure white, globe-shaped flowers that rise gracefully above neat mounds of glossy, grass-like green foliage. Part of the Australian-bred DREAMERIA® collection, this exceptional variety has been developed for its outstanding flowering performance, resilience and low-maintenance nature. Producing an abundance of delicate, pom-pom-like blooms from late winter through spring and into summer, with occasional repeat flowering throughout autumn, 'Dream Clouds' provides a beautiful, long-lasting floral display. Its tidy, mounding habit makes it ideal for garden borders, pathway edging, rockeries, coastal gardens, mass plantings and decorative pots. The sturdy flower stems are also excellent for cut flower arrangements, while the nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Thriving in Melbourne's climate, this hardy perennial prefers full sun to part shade and well-drained soil. Once established, it demonstrates excellent tolerance to dry conditions, coastal winds and frost, making it a reliable choice for exposed gardens. Regular removal of spent flowers encourages further blooming, while a light application of fertiliser in late winter promotes vigorous growth. With its crisp white flowers, attractive evergreen foliage and exceptional versatility, Armeria 'Dream Clouds' is a wonderful addition to contemporary landscapes, cottage gardens and low-maintenance planting schemes.
