Common Name:
Bush Fury Kangaroo Paw
Description:
Anigozanthos Bush Fury is a vibrant, mid-sized kangaroo paw variety known for its striking red flower spikes and robust garden performance. A member of the Bush Gems® series, this Australian native hybrid produces upright stems topped with velvety, claw-like flowers in intense shades of crimson red, with hints of green and gold, blooming from spring through to autumn. Its vivid colouring and unique flower form make it a favourite for attracting birds, especially honeyeaters, as well as bees and butterflies.
Bush Fury is well-suited to Melbourne gardens, thriving in full sun and free-draining soils. It is drought-tolerant once established and tolerates light frosts, making it ideal for borders, rockeries, native gardens, or container planting. With a clumping base of slender, strappy green foliage, it offers bold vertical structure and a long season of colour. Regular deadheading and cutting back after flowering will keep the plant neat and encourage repeat blooms.
