Common Name:
Elfin Swan Windflower

Description:
Anemone ‘Elfin Swan’ is a graceful, compact perennial celebrated for its elegant, nodding white blooms that reveal a soft violet-lilac flush on the reverse of each petal. This unique colouring gives a subtle two-tone effect that adds delicate movement and interest to garden beds, borders, and containers. A naturally dwarf variety of the popular Japanese anemone group, ‘Elfin Swan’ is ideal for smaller gardens or spaces where height is limited. Flowering prolifically from late summer through to mid-autumn, it brings much-needed colour at a time when many other plants begin to fade. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and thrives in part shade, though it will also perform in full sun with adequate watering. Strong, wiry stems keep the blooms upright, and its tidy clumping habit makes it a superb choice for underplanting shrubs or pairing with woodland-style companions. ‘Elfin Swan’ offers both charm and durability in a compact form.
