A refined cultivar of the popular Alternanthera dentata, Little Maroon™ has a more controlled and compact growth habit, making it ideal for edging or mass planting where bold, low-maintenance colour is needed. The foliage deepens in intensity with sunlight, creating a lush carpet effect in full sun or vibrant tones in part shade. Although it produces small white flowers, the main attraction is its dense, colourful foliage which holds year-round in warmer climates and over most of the year in Melbourne, depending on frosts.
