Common Name:
Lemon & Lime Willow Myrtle
Description:
Agonis flexuosa 'Lemon & Lime' PBR is a beautifully compact and decorative Australian native shrub selected for its graceful weeping habit and vibrant golden-green new foliage. A refined cultivar of the Western Australian willow myrtle, 'Lemon & Lime' provides year-round colour contrast in the garden, with its fine, pendulous leaves creating a soft, flowing effect ideal for both formal and naturalistic designs. Unlike the taller species form, this cultivar maintains a smaller, bushier shape, making it suitable for hedging, screening, or feature planting. It performs well in Melbourne’s climate, thriving in full sun to part shade and adapting to a variety of soil types, including coastal and sandy conditions, provided they are well-drained. Drought-tolerant once established and tolerant of light frost, it requires little maintenance beyond light pruning to shape. While the flowers are small and white, appearing in spring, this plant is grown primarily for its foliage impact.
