Description: Parry's Agave is a compact, rosette-forming succulent native to Arizona, New Mexico, and northern Mexico. It features broad, blue-gray to gray-green leaves with prominent brown terminal spines and marginal teeth. The plant typically reaches up to 60 cm in height and width. After approximately 10 to 15 years, it produces a tall flowering stalk, up to 6 meters, adorned with bright yellow flowers. As a monocarpic plant, it dies after flowering but often produces offsets. Parry's Agave thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, making it suitable for Melbourne's climate. It's an excellent choice for xeriscaping, rock gardens, or as a striking container specimen. The plant is drought-tolerant and requires minimal maintenance.Â
