Description:

Agave attenuata 'Silver Trim' is a striking ornamental succulent prized for its elegant, spineless foliage edged with creamy silver variegation. Forming a graceful rosette of broad, soft, blue-green leaves with contrasting margins, this architectural plant creates an impressive feature in modern, Mediterranean and drought-tolerant gardens. Unlike many other agaves, it has smooth leaf edges without sharp spines, making it a safer choice for pathways and courtyards. It thrives in Melbourne's climate when planted in a sunny to partly shaded position with free-draining soil and requires very little water once established. Mature plants may eventually produce a spectacular arching flower spike bearing greenish-yellow flowers before the flowering rosette naturally dies, with offsets continuing the clump.
