Common Name:
Japanese Maple 'Seiryu'
Description:
Acer palmatum Dissectum 'Seiryu' is a rare and unique variety of Japanese Maple, distinguished as the only upright-growing cultivar within the Dissectum group. Unlike other weeping dissected maples, 'Seiryu' features a graceful, upright habit with finely cut, lace-like green foliage that turns brilliant shades of gold, orange, and crimson in autumn. This striking tree thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered spot in full sun to part shade. It is ideal for feature planting, Japanese-style gardens, and large pots. 'Seiryu' is relatively low-maintenance but benefits from protection against harsh winds and extreme heat.
