Common Name:
Yareena™ Creeping Boobialla

Description:
Myoporum parvifolium 'Yareena' (cultivar 'PARV01') is an improved, longer-lived form of the native Australian groundcover commonly known as Creeping Boobialla. This hardy, prostrate shrub features crisp, clean green foliage and produces masses of small, star-like white flowers during summer. Its thick, woody stems enhance its longevity compared to common forms. 'Yareena' thrives in a variety of soils and climates, from coastal sites with sandy soils to inland areas with heavy clay soils, provided they are well-drained. It is both drought and frost tolerant, making it well-suited to Melbourne's climate. This versatile groundcover is ideal for filling gaps, under-planting, cascading down embankments, or trailing over retaining walls and raised garden beds. Minimal maintenance is required; pruning every two years will help maintain a tidy appearance.
