Common Name:
Katie Belles Lomandra
Description:
Lomandra hystrix Katie Belles™ is a compact, elegant Australian native with fine, arching green foliage and a soft, grass-like appearance. This hardy clumping plant is well suited to Melbourne gardens, particularly in borders, mass plantings, native landscapes and low-maintenance garden designs. During spring and summer, it produces creamy-yellow flower spikes that rise above the foliage and are lightly fragrant, adding seasonal interest while attracting bees and beneficial insects. Katie Belles™ grows best in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil, though it can tolerate periods of wet soil better than many other Lomandra varieties. Once established, it is relatively hardy and easy to maintain, making it a practical choice for both residential and commercial landscapes.
