Common Name:
Ice Plant ‘Amber Explosion’ (Lampranthus EXPLOSION® ‘Amber’)
Description:
Lampranthus EXPLOSION® ‘Amber’ is a vibrant succulent groundcover that delivers a spectacular carpet of daisy-like blooms in brilliant amber tones. As the flowers age, they soften to rose-pink, creating a warm, multi-tonal effect. Flowering from spring into summer, this variety often covers its succulent foliage entirely during peak bloom. With its trailing, mounding habit and excellent drought tolerance, it’s ideal for rockeries, embankments, retaining walls or sunny borders. The foliage is fleshy and grey-green, forming a dense mat that helps suppress weeds and reduce soil erosion. It thrives in Melbourne’s sunny, dry conditions with minimal maintenance.
