Common Name:
White Bigleaf Hydrangea, White Mophead Hydrangea
Description:
Hydrangea macrophylla 'White' is a beautiful deciduous shrub known for its large, rounded clusters of pure white flowers. Unlike its pink and blue counterparts, the blooms of this variety remain white regardless of soil pH, sometimes developing a soft green tinge as they age. Flowering from late spring through to early autumn, this hydrangea creates a striking and elegant display in any garden setting. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and prefers a sheltered position with morning sun and afternoon shade to protect it from excessive heat. This variety is excellent for mass planting, borders, hedging, or as a feature plant in garden beds or pots. It also makes a stunning cut flower, both fresh and dried.
