Common Name:
Winter Heath 'Pink'
Description:
Erica darleyensis 'Pink' is a hardy, evergreen shrub known for its profuse display of soft pink, bell-shaped flowers that bloom from winter through early spring. This low-growing, spreading plant forms dense mounds of fine, needle-like green foliage, making it an excellent choice for garden borders, rockeries, and ground cover. It thrives in Melbourne’s climate, preferring well-drained, acidic soil and a position in full sun to part shade. Drought-tolerant once established, it is low-maintenance and provides much-needed winter colour when few other plants are in bloom. ‘Pink’ is also highly attractive to bees, providing an important nectar source during the cooler months.
