Common Name:
Daydream Thrift
Description:
DREAMERIA® ‘Daydream’ is a vibrant and compact Armeria (thrift) cultivar, specially bred for improved flowering, disease resistance, and garden performance. This evergreen perennial forms tight, grassy clumps of fine dark green foliage, topped with an abundance of bright pink globe-shaped flower heads held high on sturdy stems. It blooms prolifically from early spring through to late autumn, with flushes of colour that attract bees and other pollinators. Unlike many traditional thifts, ‘Daydream’ has been developed to handle a wider range of conditions including humidity, making it particularly well-suited to Melbourne’s changing climate. Ideal for edging, rockeries, pots, and low borders, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, and is notably drought-tolerant once established. Its tidy habit and long-lasting blooms make it a standout for coastal gardens and modern landscapes alike.
