Common Name: Streetscape™ Flax Lily

Description: Dianella Streetscape™ is a robust, evergreen perennial grass native to Australia, renowned for its dense clumps of strappy, green foliage. This cultivar is a hybrid between a Cape York Dianella species and Dianella caerulea, endowing it with exceptional resilience across a range of climates, from tropical to temperate regions. In spring, it produces delicate blue flowers, which are occasionally followed by ornamental blue berries. Streetscape™ is particularly valued for its rapid establishment, with roots developing at twice the speed of standard Dianella caerulea, making it an excellent choice for mass plantings, borders, and understorey applications. It thrives in full sun to part shade and adapts well to various soil types, provided they are well-drained. Once established, this variety exhibits notable drought and frost tolerance, making it well-suited to Melbourne's diverse climate conditions.
